A deck lives outside year-round in Durham humidity, summer heat, and the occasional ice storm. That means the framing, fasteners, and connection points do most of the work, the boards you see are just the top layer. Vebron Construction builds decks and outdoor living spaces with structure that will last as long as the boards.
We build with pressure-treated framing sized to code, hot-dip galvanized or stainless hardware, and boards in your material of choice, pressure-treated, cedar, or composite (TimberTech, Trex, Fiberon). Ledger boards are flashed and lag-bolted properly. Posts sit on proper footings. Railings meet current code for height and infill spacing.
Beyond straight decks, we build covered porches, screened porches, pergolas, outdoor kitchens, and hardscape patios. Where a deck ties into your home's roofline or siding, we flash and detail it so no water tracks back into the wall assembly.
Most decks are permitted, and Vebron handles the drawings and inspections. You'll have a written scope and price before we break ground, and one point of contact through the whole build.

Composite or pressure-treated, what should I pick?
Composite (Trex, TimberTech) costs more up front but requires almost no maintenance and holds up better in NC humidity. Pressure-treated is less expensive but needs cleaning and sealing every few years. We'll walk you through the trade-offs for your budget and how you use the deck.
